The quiet setting made it easy to relax, and the building is lovely. My room felt comfortable and had clearly been designed with care. The staff were so warm and welcoming, I felt at home. I’d happily recommend staying here for a peaceful break.

The bar and restaurant were good, and the place felt comfortable and friendly. It was really good value as a stop on the way to or from the ferry ports in northern Spain. I emailed ahead about needing gluten-free food and they looked after me well, with a separate menu. Happy to recommend.

We had a great breakfast in the wonderful dining room, which used to be a mill. We’d arrived late, at 10:45 PM, but the gentleman at the counter kindly showed us to our room. Room 7, “La Pipa,” had a very comfortable mattress and great water pressure in the shower. Such a charming stay, and incredible value. Highly recommend.

The evening meal was superb. We had two starters, two main courses, a bottle of wine and the biggest glass of brandy I’ve ever had. It came to just 51 Euros including tax, very reasonable for what we got. I only wish the waiter had told us the price, since we didn’t find out until morning. The hotel itself was lovely, a quaint Spanish place with beautiful woodwork and nice furnishings. The village was eerily deserted: one man was walking around when we arrived, and nobody was about when we left. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone heading south.

Great dinner, comfy beds, cool rooms, excellent house wine, and a yummy breakfast. The owner was lovely, helpful and professional. It’s very close to the autoroute, but far enough away to feel peaceful. Perfect in every way.
