Hostal el mirador

The hostel was great value, and I'd happily stay there again if I return to Llerena. We were there Friday through Sunday over the Andalusian holiday weekend. The room was clean and well equipped, with heating, air conditioning, and plenty of duvets and blankets. The bed was comfortable, and the service was very good. The shower heater is electric. The noise was awful. A bar next door played music through outdoor speakers at a horrendous volume until at least 2 a.m., so we couldn't sleep when we finally got back after struggling to find food and dinner in other villages. The owner showed no empathy for us or our young children and made no effort to fix the problem. The room was tiny for a family of four. We'd also been told it was a quiet village with no bars where we couldn't even get a coffee for breakfast, which made the noise all the more surprising.

The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, and the staff is outstanding. The hostel is very clean and fairly new. I found it a great place to relax, especially when traveling for work, with a good table to get organized. If I'm in the area again, I'll stay here.

The hostel was acceptable, but I wouldn't suggest it for a family with kids or anyone looking for a quiet break. We barely slept: every night the bar next door set up an outdoor bar, and the music kept us awake until after 2 a.m. We were traveling with children, and the whole room shook. We would have liked a warning about it.
