Hotel Onyarbi

Our child couldn't sleep in the suite, room 1, because it was beside the lobby and car park with no soundproofing. People checking in and arriving late, along with vehicles and motorbikes coming and going, made a lot of noise. The area outside the room smelled like a toilet, and the room was freezing because the heat didn't work. I don't know if they were being cheap, but reception closed at 9 pm, so we had to keep calling and incur roaming charges to get the heat turned on. We were there overnight before a flight. Booking listed 18-year-olds as adults, and the hotel acknowledged that was the stated policy, but wouldn't honor it. They charged our 3-year-old as an adult and made us upgrade to the suite. We try to support local businesses, but I'd avoid this one. Booking also said it doesn't vet the hotel's policy on its site, and it did nothing to help us. They deliberately removed the option to rate the hotel.

The staff were friendly, and they sorted out my early check-in when I asked. This little one-star hotel surprised me: it’s modern and clean, with a very nice entrance, and the rooms feel like those in a four-star hotel. Its location puts you right in the middle of the city’s tourist activities. It deserves a much better location, but it is what it is. Thanks again, and hopefully until next time!

I wasn't comfortable with having no other way out besides the main room door, and there was no view from the room. Both the room and hotel entrance are in the basement, where you notice the dampness as soon as you walk in. The location is probably the best thing about the hotel. Knowing what to expect, I would have picked somewhere else.

The rooms were good, and the staff were friendly. It’s a good hotel near the town center. I just wish we’d been able to store our bikes overnight.
