El Torreon II

The house was lovely, and our hostess was very friendly during our weekend stay. The barbecue setup was a shame, though. There's a roomy basement area, but no dishes or cutlery there, so you have to carry all your gear down the stairs and keep going back and forth. There was no Wi-Fi or router either.

The village is quiet and small, but it has two bakeries, two supermarkets, a pharmacy, several bars and restaurants, and a very good butcher. We picked up a ribeye to cook on the patio barbecue, which was a real bonus. The Manzanares bathing area and the Gredos platform are only a short drive away, though the water at the bathing spot is freezing, so be careful. We stayed the first week of August and had a fantastic time. The house is new, spotless, tastefully decorated, spacious, and cool in summer, with magnificent views. The bathrooms and appliances all worked perfectly. Petri was kind and helpful, and we'll definitely be back.

This was our second visit, and once again everything was fantastic. The location is beautiful and offers plenty to do in any season. Petri is a lovely, attentive owner, and she even provided firewood for the barbecue and fireplace. The house is very nice. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely return.

The downstairs bedroom has a foosball table and games, so the house worked really well for a family with children. It's quiet at night, and even without a designated parking space, parking was easy. We spent a week there in August 2021 at El Torreón 2 and would love to return. The house is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, well designed, fully equipped, and conveniently located. Petri, the owner, was especially kind and attentive. Thanks for everything, Petri!
