La Cueva Del Tempranillo

The garden was spacious and beautifully cared for, with plenty of room to enjoy time with the children. We also had a stream running beside the house, a vegetable garden the hosts shared with us, and the best barbecue we’ve ever seen. The pool is tucked away, which we really appreciated with little ones to keep an eye on. Thanks, Candelas and Pedro, for a peaceful week in such a unique setting and for making us feel so welcome.

We were seven adults, and found the house comfortable, clean and lovely. It felt fully equipped, with everything new: three bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, and a double sofa bed in the living room. One bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, while the other two each have two single beds. The house sits in the grandparents’ orchard, but they weren’t intrusive at all, despite what I’d read in earlier reviews. The garden is lovely and has a barbecue. The pool is on the family’s property rather than in the same garden as the house, but that didn’t bother us. They offered produce from their trees and were very friendly. It’s right in the village, yet the spot is quiet. Friendly service too. We couldn’t find anything to fault. 😊

The rooms and the rest of the house were really comfortable, a 10/10. We had no problems at all during our three days, and wished we could have stayed longer. The owners were incredibly attentive, and the service was magnificent. Everything was fantastic, so we’ll definitely return next year.

We’re back for our second summer at this country house, and love it! Candela and Pedro are wonderful. It’s a great place to spend a few peaceful days, with Logroño just a stone’s throw away if you want to plan some activities. Totally recommend it! 🤩🤩
