La Casa del Canónigo - Adults Only

The breakfast had so much to choose from, sweet and savory, and it was all delicious. I felt bad leaving any, so I nearly finished everything. La Casa del Canónigo made me feel at home, only cooler. My room was lovely and snug, with everything I could need, and the jacuzzi was amazing down to the little details. It's a beautiful base for exploring other lovely places nearby. Lorena, Teresa, and Marta were so kind, and I had a fantastic stay.

We were incredibly comfortable in the warm, snug room, and all the hotel spaces for breakfast and dinner were gorgeous. The food was delicious, too. Such a lovely place to slow down and unwind. Everything for couples felt romantic, with so much care in the details. The whole stay was a 10/10. Marta looked after us wonderfully 🤩🥰

The hotel itself is beautiful and welcoming, but the services didn't live up to it. We visited last month on a friend's recommendation, and had a very different experience. Maybe it was because we were the only guests, I can't say. At the wine tasting, we got a white and a rosé, but no red because they had run out. I understand they need to plan for guests. There was just a small tray of cheese, one little piece each for the three couples, and one piece of bread for trying the olive oil. A few more cheese pieces or some croutons would've helped. The cold dinner was disappointing too. We checked what it included and found it was more like one person's appetizer, despite costing €40, which wasn't cheap. We ended up eating at the town's only bar. That's just what happened to us and my humble opinion. I'm sharing it because attention to these small details could leave people happier and more likely to recommend the place.

Our zip line ride, with those incredible views over Cuenca, was one of the most exciting parts of this couple's trip. We booked through Chequealo, and the package also let us arrange the jacuzzi and wine and cheese tasting flexibly, so we could take our time. Having the delicious cold dinner in our room was another treat, perfect for a relaxed evening. Casa del Canónigo in Caracenilla is beautiful and very well cared for. The owners made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, always warm, attentive, and smiling. You can tell they put a lot of heart into the details. Marta and Teresa helped turn a good stay into an unforgettable one. A charming place with lovely people, highly recommended.
