If you want to try a Spanish jjimjilbang, this place may be for you. Bring a couple of large bottles of ice-cold sikhye or another drink packed with ice. We stayed on 22 August, 2023, during a day above 43 degrees Celsius. Our room was under the heated roof and had only a small fan, so it felt like a sauna and we barely slept. There wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom, so we bought tissues at a nearby store. The internet worked for about an hour, then the password stopped working and we couldn't get back online before leaving the next day. I don't know why the connection was cut off. I've traveled to over 30 countries and have never had a room this furnace-like or service that felt so unbelievable and disgusting. Please take this review seriously if you don't want the same experience.

A great place to break up a long trip north or south, with excellent rooms and a host who really knows the area and is welcoming. Atapuerca is also just a stone's throw away, one of the most valuable Neanderthal sites unearthed and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2000. If you treasure your 2-5% Neanderthal genes, go reconnect 👍🏽

We were given all the directions we needed to continue along the route to Burgos, and the owner treated us very well. The place was clean and cozy, and it's the best accommodation we've ever stayed in on the Camino de Santiago.

The room was fine, but the rules felt a bit absurd. We weren't allowed to eat or drink grocery items in the Parlour outside breakfast, so we had to eat them in our room. In the morning, hot water for tea was only available if we paid for breakfast. We bring our own tea and usually ask for hot water, which most places are happy to provide, but the woman here said it wasn't possible because the kettle was in a private kitchen. Pilgrims may be better off following the official route or choosing somewhere else. There's a good place to eat down the street, and it was better and cheaper than breakfast here. After seeing a negative review met with a threat of legal action, I want to make clear this is only my opinion. I don't want legal trouble, but Google lets people share opinions to inform others.
