Apartamentos Mariano

I stayed at Apartmentos Mariano for 7 nights. The apartment, on the first floor above the cafe, was functional, but not clean. The small balcony had cigarette ends all over it, the room was dusty and there wasn't enough cutlery for 2 people. It's self catering, but there was no welcome pack to explain how things worked. The shower tray was blocked. It took 2 days of complaining to get it resolved, and water flooded into the bed area. Getting clean towels and bedding was difficult, and one night there were no sheets. The room was never cleaned. After I dropped a glass and reported the broken pieces, there was no brush or dustpan to clean them up. If you're British, I'd definitely recommend staying away. There are much cheaper places nearby with the kind of service you'd expect for the price. I love Ibiza town and will return, just not here.

A beautiful rooftop terrace with magnificent views of Dalt Vila, and clean, lovely rooms. It's right in the old city and just a quick stroll to the port. The family running the place are really nice, and the staff at Cafe Mariano just below are great too.

It was fine.
