El Lagar

We spent a week and a half at El Lagar and had a lovely time. It’s a traditional house made from several small buildings brought together under one roof, with a small extension. Don’t expect luxury, but it has what you need for a good holiday and offers excellent value. The owner lives next door and was always on hand for questions or help. There are two bedrooms with twin beds, a living and dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a large terrace with a small private pool. The beds and sofa were comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. Even in February we used the pool every day. From the terrace, with a little effort, you can see El Teide and the sea. The highway is three minutes away, but we couldn’t hear traffic, and parking on the street around the corner was easy. El Lagar sits on the edge of Icod de los Vinos.
