Pensión Martín

I stayed three or four nights as an Erasmus student and would definitely recommend it. It's clean and well placed near the center, and the owner helped with everything. My friends and I were looking for a house, and he was always ready to offer help.

The price matches what you get. It's a tidy, clean pension in a very convenient spot, and the owner is always available. He trusts you to come and go as you please.

The rooms and their bathrooms were very dirty, and the soundproofing was awful. We could hear other guests and outside noise from this busy central location. The manager was rude and unfriendly, and kept making political remarks that we found completely inappropriate. Check-in was set for 2:30 pm. We left our bags at reception, where anyone passing through could reach them, since there was no separate luggage room. When we came back for our rooms at 4:30, he said they weren't ready, that he hadn't expected us so early, and that checking us in had taken a lot of his time. He also said he regretted not charging the fair price, implying we'd paid too little to complain. We'd booked months ahead, so that wasn't our problem. We had to argue firmly before he apologized and prepared the rooms very poorly. A bad stay, with poor service and inadequate facilities. I don't recommend it.

Martín was friendly, attentive, and resourceful, making sure we had what we needed. We were six adults and one child in two double rooms and one triple, and everyone was happy. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. My parents had a first-floor double room with an armchair and a shower with jets and a rain effect. My sister and nephew shared two single beds on the second floor. We were also on the second floor, with one double bed and one single. We had a wonderful time.
