Xalo is a very nice Spanish town, with lots of bars and restaurants and good access to nearby areas and walks. The property is beautiful and well placed for exploring the valley. John and Sonja were lovely hosts, thanks for your hospitality. I'd like to return and definitely recommend staying here.

We came for a nearby vineyard tour, and what a find this was. The setting is lovely, near the mountains and just a minute's walk from lovely Jalon. The beautiful property has fabulous rooms, personal touches and a very relaxing pool area. John and Sonja were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included in the excellent value rate and we enjoyed it by the pool, with delicious homemade pancakes and John's tasty coconut macaroons. We've already recommended it 100% to people nearby and back home in the UK. Congratulations and many thanks, we'll be back!

This is a peaceful place for cycling, hiking or seeing the less spoiled parts of the coast. The house has been tastefully renovated and decorated, surrounded by mountains yet still relatively close to the sea. A comfortable bed and spacious room, with attentive but discreet hosts. It made a restful break from the Costa Blanca, which has been too disfigured by tourism.

John and Sonja were fabulous hosts from start to finish and made me a wonderful breakfast. Casa Mistela is a charming boutique hotel in picturesque Xaló, peaceful and relaxing, with authentic local restaurants an easy walk away. I was there just one night, but found it excellent value and would highly recommend it.
