Vaquería Canta el Gallo

We were five and felt very comfortable in the house. The three bedrooms each have an en-suite, and the downstairs room has its own entrance, which could suit parents wanting a little space. I’d say it’s especially convenient for a family with older children. The kitchen was well equipped, with homemade olive oil and home-grown tomatoes, and there was a huge living room. Outside, we ate by the pool and relaxed in the hammocks. The smaller cottages on the grounds are tucked away, so everyone has privacy. The place felt safe for our children, who were 6, 8 and 10, and they got to help care for the donkeys, feed them and ride them. The gardens are lush and immaculately kept. Inside, the furnishings show real attention to detail and a strong eye for design. Our house was spotless, and the beds were made and the house cleaned daily. It had the comfort and luxuries of a hotel, with the close feel of a beautiful villa. Breakfast was served outside on a lovely shaded patio, with homemade jams, freshly baked cakes or churros from the village bakery, plus tea and coffee. The house is surrounded by lovely countryside, and we enjoyed swimming in the clear rivers nearby. We also liked how close it is to Jaraiz de la Vera for bars and restaurants, even though the house itself is tucked away among olive groves and feels hard to find. Soledad has made a charming, graceful place, with lovely furnishings and a real eye for detail. This little hotel is a gem, set in a peaceful spot.

The grounds were a lovely place to walk, unwind and enjoy the quiet, and our dog could roam freely, which was a real bonus. Breakfast was superb, with quality products served in a peaceful setting. María Fernanda gave us great tips for exploring the area, and Marisela was very affectionate with our dog. Everyone on staff was kind, attentive and friendly. Inside, the room was spacious and very comfortable, with a huge bed. We arrived to find the fireplace already lit, which made the stay feel especially romantic. The house was spotless, and the comfort felt truly luxurious. The décor is stylish and carefully done, with dedication visible in every corner. Our weekend at Finca Vaquería Cantaelgallo was spectacular from the moment we arrived. Luxury, comfort, romance and nature came together for a memorable getaway. We’ll definitely return.

The homemade dinner we ordered was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had a lovely autumn weekend with friends, swimming in the pools thanks to the beautiful weather and walking through spectacular scenery. The rooms were cozy and very comfortable.
