For a night away, this was clean, spacious, comfortable, and reasonably priced. There were hardly any other guests in mid October, and the garden patio was shut because of the rain. Breakfast was a simple help-yourself setup. I didn't meet any staff, communicating only through the website and what's app. I found a parking spot nearby, and the surrounding area is lovely to explore.

I worked from here for a few days and found it a perfect remote-work setting, 5/5. It's a very clean, relaxing hotel with large rooms, right in the center of everything. The area isn't touristy, so it was easy to unwind, and you can enjoy wonderful drinks, some of Spain's best cocktails, and food that does the job. I'll come back whenever I need a break from city life, whether that's once or twice or more often.

The hosts are lovely, and the bar's cocktails and focaccia are the best I've had in all Extremadura. The rooms are clean, tidy, and equipped with whatever you might need for a short or longer stay. Great value for money. A wonderful experience!

La Posada de la Gula surpassed what I expected. It was an excellent rural getaway, with comfortable, well-kept rooms and a delicious breakfast. The service was outstanding, and the location made it easy to explore the scenic mountains on my MTB. Highly recommend.
