The pool was a real draw, with comfortably warm water, and it was easy to walk to the beach in under eight minutes carrying our parasols and chairs. We had a great two weeks in this apartment, especially for the price. One thing to watch: Google Maps shows one Golden Gardens Apartment, but several are rented out, so you may get a different one. Ours was Booking.com Golden Gardens apartment 3. Inside, it was minimal but practical. We found the oven wasn't working on our first day, called it in, and someone fixed it the following morning. The apartment also came with its own parking space under the buildings, though getting a large car around the garage was quite difficult. We've known Xabia for a while and were glad to be back. It was obvious which people owned apartments and which were renting. The renters seemed much friendlier. I understand that owners see people coming and going and may not always like it, but we felt watched as soon as we arrived. So, read the rules by the pool! 7/10, would recommend.

Inside, there's loads of space and the usual home comforts, including air conditioning, a washing machine and a dishwasher. It suited people travelling with little ones. The gated self-catering villa is quiet, with a well-kept garden and pool area, and it's about a five-minute walk from the main beach.

I'm staying with family who live here, so I'm a bit biased. Still, the apartments look great and seem really well built, with high-quality materials throughout. The location is super, and a short walk takes you to the arenal, with its huge choice of cafes and shops. All that convenience makes the area a must-visit.

Shops and restaurants are close by. It was a pleasant place to stay, though some of the garden lights and lights around the block entrance weren't working.
