The central location made it easy to explore the area on foot, but getting there and parking were difficult. There's an empty lot across the street, so it felt pretty deserted at night. For the condition of the house, we thought the price was too high. It might be fair if the place were in good shape, given its size. What a shame. The owner was unhelpful and unfriendly. When we said the ground-floor air conditioning wasn't working and it was cold and damp, she replied, "What do you want me to do? There's nothing I can do." We spent the middle of winter without heat. She also said she'd thoroughly cleaned the house, but we doubt it. There was dust everywhere, including under the beds, along with clothes hangers and other things. The refrigerator was infested with fleas, which is a health hazard, and bathrooms were very dirty, though also somewhat old. The house was neglected in other ways too. The living room was tiny for the number of bedrooms, with only a small table and two chairs and a two-seat sofa. Black mold and damp marked the walls by the window, hidden by the dirty, moldy curtain. The owner claimed we'd seen it during our visit, but we honestly hadn't, and wouldn't have rented the house if we had. The TV didn't work either. The kitchen was the worst: hardly any kitchenware for a house meant for so many guests. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, so we couldn't get proper rest, and without blinds we woke as soon as daylight came in. The decor was nice, at least. The rooftop terrace was terribly dirty and neglected, covered in algae, with just two old sun loungers and a shower I couldn't see the point of. It could be a lovely terrace if it were looked after. The entrance hall was okay, although very dimly lit. A complete disaster. Cleanliness was nowhere to be found, the property was poorly maintained, and we'd never repeat the experience.
