We never saw any management or staff during our stay, and our keys were waiting in the mailbox outside. A very friendly cat did greet us and lead us to our room, though. Maybe she’s the manager! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a four-poster bed. It’s a lovely traditional building with lots of original features. The dining room, bar, and wine cellar were all closed, but guests can use the kitchen.

We’d happily stay again. The hotel, Posada La Casa Grande, has a beautiful inner courtyard and a great location close to a castle. We’re two backpackers from Germany and needed somewhere at short notice, and the staff were super friendly and helped us out. Everything was clean and the bed was super comfortable.

A very traditional Spanish house. If you like a charming, simple, practical place that’s really clean, you’ll love it. Looking for Hilton style? Go to Hilton and pay six times as much.

We got there after check-in time and found the place closed. After we called the number on the sign, the owner showed up about 10 minutes later and let us in.

We were charged ahead of time, which I think is normal, but after arriving at the inn we waited more than two hours for someone to open the door. Nobody answered, so we had to cancel our plans for the day and go elsewhere. When the owner finally picked up, he said he’d been out in the countryside without cell service. The neighbors told us this wasn’t the first time he’d had trouble with guests. He still hasn’t taken responsibility or even apologized. We’re really disappointed. His unprofessionalism ruined our weekend, and we missed the activities we’d planned because we couldn’t get in. 😤
