If you're around Valencia, the detour is worth it for the paella valenciana. That's the reason to go, and I wouldn't choose anything else there.

I came all the way from the United States hoping to try the food, but they turned us away because we had a small dog. They apparently put tables outside in the morning, just not at lunch. I can't say anything about the food, service, or atmosphere because we never got in. I almost never leave a bad review, as you can see on my profile. Maybe I'd have better luck in Japan.
