The views are incredible and the facilities are nice, though the quiet area around the hotel is interrupted by regular buzz saw noise from the construction site next door. Service was mostly attentive and friendly, apart from one dinner waitress who kept giving us attitude. The room was very nice, but its shower soap dispensers kept falling off and the air conditioning didn't work properly. I liked most of the procedures, and the staff were generally smiling and attentive. They tried to rearrange things when they could. Some staff seemed knowledgeable, while others came across as salespeople who didn't know much about what they were selling. That left me unsure whether some treatments were right for me. When I asked the “therapist” about known risks of ozone therapy, she said it was completely safe. I mentioned that I'd seen plenty of literature saying otherwise, and she changed the subject. Anyone unsure can Google it. The hydrotherapy area, including the sauna and cold plunge, was closed for renovations. Guests were sent to a small wellness area in the basement of a nearby villa. We were given a €100/day credit as compensation, but using the basement sauna cost €100. The biggest issue was the food. The ingredients were high quality and the meals beautifully prepared, but the portions left me hungry after most meals, and protein rarely seemed to be a priority. The menu had just two options each day, one of them only slightly less small, with very limited substitutions. For someone wanting extra protein, having only “Salmon or Turbot” at every meal gets old. It felt designed for weight loss, and wasn't suitable for guests who weren't looking for that. Even for weight loss, protein matters, so the approach didn't make sense to me. It seems like an easy thing to improve, which makes the limited choice perplexing. When I asked the nutritionist about the lack of protein, she suggested buying protein powder separately and having it between meals. Really? The agenda was often either almost empty or crammed, with everything scheduled at once on some days. I bruised my arm after a blood sample was followed by an intense PT session, and stomach red light therapy was scheduled right after lunch. The sequencing felt disorganized. I also wanted a summary after the tests and therapies with a way forward or recommendations. I got a lot of data but didn't leave much clearer about what to do with it. We had a nice time, but I won't return until there's a more varied menu. For a market-leading health and wellness hotel with “personalisation” at its core, the choices felt incredibly limited. At this price, SHA may get outcompeted by other wellness hotels and clinics unless it improves. I'd recommend deciding exactly what you want to learn before going, and arranging a proper planning call about procedures beforehand.

We were robbed. Housekeeping took money from my room, C124, and my mother's room, C122. The same amount was missing from each, €1,400, for €2,800 in total. We reported it immediately, but they refused to show us the cameras. Theft like this happens at hotels where management tolerates it. SHA Wellness can't provide basic safety, and guests can't leave their belongings or money in their rooms.

The team really made the place for me. Staff were capable, kind, and attentive, and I always felt noticed, supported, and able to relax. Many had worked there for 10 or 15 years, which says something, I think. You could tell the team cared about each other too. The whole approach felt focused on wellbeing, from body and mind to digestion and emotional balance. Medical checkups fit smoothly alongside spa treatments, food, and rest, so I felt guided rather than managed. The food was wonderfully tasty and nourishing, with probiotics and thoughtful cooking informed by the microbiome. Every meal felt like a gift to body and soul, and I didn't even think about eating only 1,000 calories a day. The design, atmosphere, and energy were serene, with a touch of luxury. It felt like a sanctuary for longevity and joy, rather than just a hotel. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply grateful. Can't wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars, without hesitation.

The app was easy to use, the facilities felt modern and very clean, and we had a nice room with a great view. There are good hikes nearby too. We enjoyed the spa, most of the procedures, and the restaurant service. The staff were smiling and attentive, and tried to adjust things when possible. Even though the food portions were small and part of a detox, it all tasted good. We left feeling relaxed, ate well, and tried some interesting treatments. For what we paid, I expected better coordination among the medical staff. Many questions went unanswered or got passed from one doctor to another until they seemed to get lost. The agenda was sometimes almost empty, then packed with everything happening at once. A blood sample followed by intense PT bruised my arm, and stomach red light therapy was set right after lunch. The schedule didn't always seem to have a logical flow. I wish all the tests and therapies had come together in a summary with recommendations for what to do next. We had all this data, but honestly, we didn't leave much more certain about what to do with it. We enjoyed the stay and would come back. I'd suggest knowing exactly what you want to find out beforehand, and having a proper call with the agenda planner before arrival to discuss which procedures interest you.

The serious atmosphere may not suit everyone. On our first night, my partner was still hungry after a very small dinner and was told he couldn't have more because it would go beyond what the “doctor prescribed.” 😆 Even so, our stay has stayed with me. A month later, we still think about how it changed our views on food, exercise, and wellbeing. We took away a lot about health and daily habits, and the quality of everything, especially the food, was top-notch. It felt like an investment in our health. We did feel there was quite a lot of upselling during consultations. I'd prefer one planning session at the start where extra treatments or services outside the package could be suggested, then space to enjoy the experience without continued pressure. When you're focused on healing or self-improvement, repeated encouragement to spend more from someone in a position of authority can feel uncomfortable, especially given the cost. After booking, I realized it may be better value to put together your own schedule and treatments than choose a set package. I also agree with the suggestion from another reviewer to call SHA beforehand and talk through your goals.
