Espai Abadia

Right in the heart of the beautiful village of Argentera, next door to the church, this was a lovely place to stay. I was apparently the only guest in the building, so there was plenty of room to enjoy the terrace, kitchen, spacious rooms, and good Wi-Fi. As a tired long-distance hiker, that was everything I could ask for. The room was comfortable and had a great view. I don’t speak much Spanish, but the woman who welcomed me tried hard to make herself understood, and Google Translate helped us get along just fine. There’s no restaurant attached to the accommodation, though I found good food at the nearby Tapas place. I also got a free ticket to the community pool, which was very nice.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and the company was great. We had a calçotada there on Saturday, and the food was delicious. We’ll be back!

The peace left by its former inhabitants and the care you’re shown make it easy to feel good here. Just let go and go with it.

The terrace has wonderful views, and the house is even more charming in person than it looks in the photos. There’s lots of space. We stayed in the apartment, with two bedrooms with beds, a small living room with three sofas, and a comfortable open-plan kitchen and living area. The one awkward thing was showering without a screen in the bathroom. I imagine that’s temporary and they’re waiting to fix it. The owners were really friendly, and with all the other nice touches around the house, I’m sure they’ll sort it soon.
