Hotel Voramar

The sea view from the balcony was stunning, and the room itself was modern, clean, and well equipped, including the bathroom. I spent two nights here in November and had a really pleasant stay. The restaurant was open even though many places in town had closed for the season, and people staying elsewhere came over for its lovely food. Next time I’m in Costa Brava, I’d stay here again.

September 2025. I’ve eaten lunch at this hotel several times. The menu has plenty of choice, the food is freshly made and consistently excellent, and the prices are very good. Desserts can be hard to find in Catalonia, but theirs are delicious.

We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony even in November, with a lovely view of the sea from our second-floor room. The hotel is close to the water and there are restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly, and the room was clean.

The street outside was being rebuilt during our stay, so there was noise and mess to put up with. The hotel waived the parking charge after realizing how unreasonable the situation had become, but I still wouldn’t stay here again. I’d booked in a hurry and mistakenly put down two adults, even though the room was listed for four. When I arrived with our nine-year-old, they added €100 to the €250 room price just to make up the sofa bed. They then acted as though two free coffee pods were generous, while extra pods were charged to the room. We weren’t given another towel or a duvet, only a sheet and pillow. They may as well start charging for hot water next. I paid €350 a night in the end, and it wasn’t worth it.
