L'Escala Resort

We spent two weeks in a spacious, modern apartment on the first floor. The garden is lovely and the pools are refreshing. It’s peaceful, away from the busy center, but still an easy walk to the beach, town center, and Carrefour. We also forgot to check out on time, and the staff stayed friendly and professional about it. A few things could be better: the WiFi was slow and street parking was limited. The shower was awful, swinging from ice cold to too hot, with a dirty, cheap shower head. There’s no daytime shade on the terrace. We also had noisy groups of French/African men nearby one night, and the rooms don’t block much sound. I wish they only allowed families or couples, not groups of guys. Even with those issues, we weren’t too bothered and would come back.

I enjoyed the swimming pools and the natural surroundings, though these apartments are outside L'Escala and not close to the beach. The apartments are very nice, but could use more upkeep: the furniture is quite old and the air conditioning doesn’t work very well.

The place itself is great, with thoughtfully designed architecture, and the price is reasonable, though the materials feel on the cheap side. The WiFi is terribly slow. The coffee machine also takes special capsules that are hard to find in supermarkets, and the reception sells them for a much higher price.

The staff were brilliant, and we loved the location. Everything was super clean and really comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return!
