Hotel Porta Fira

The staff were welcoming and professional, and the metro is only a short walk away. I also found the location handy for the airport. The hotel has a striking modern design, and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend it.

I was there for a conference for about six days, right across the street from Fira Barcelona Gran Via. My team and I had a smooth, well-organized stay, and the hotel's restaurant worked really well for a group dinner with our guests. The prices were reasonable, and there's a competitively priced lunch and dinner menu. The restaurant can handle large groups in a quiet setting, with good service and delicious food, so it was a strong choice for a corporate gathering. Plenty of guests choose to eat elsewhere, including at beachside restaurants, but we were happy with the on-site option. I plan to attach photos and would recommend the hotel, especially for business or conference trips.

We knew it wasn't close to the centre, so that wasn't a surprise. The staff were friendly, and the hotel itself was clean and nice. The bathroom setup was the real problem: the toilet and shower are partly separate, but there's basically no privacy, and you can hear and see everything. Those oversized cubicles also take up a lot of space and make the room feel odd. The TV sits on a pole in the middle of things, so I kept nearly walking into it. The room got boiling hot even though I kept adjusting the air conditioning. And the bedding was strange, with the duvet seemingly wrapped in loose sheets instead of a cover.

The service and location were nice, but the outside lobby looked neglected and needs regular upkeep. They left complimentary water in the room for the first day only. After that, you have to pay for it.
