The room service and breakfast staff were lovely, helpful, and really friendly, and the restaurant next to the hotel served great food. We also enjoyed some lovely places to visit nearby, and the oranges from the man across the road. The stay got off to a bad start with a very unfriendly receptionist. I wondered if she was anti-British. She didn't speak English until she had to tell us there was no food that evening, and she didn't try to answer our bad Spanish. It was a letdown for the hotel. The other staff couldn't speak English either, but they were great, and we managed to understand each other with the little Spanish we've picked up over the years.

We booked at the last minute because my son didn't want another night camping. For not much more than a campsite, we got a clean, well-equipped hotel and fantastic staff. They even offered free ice lollies on a very hot day. The swimming pool was one of the best we've come across on this trip, and we've tried quite a few.

I felt unwelcome throughout our three-night stay, and the staff were incredibly unfriendly. Breakfast was very basic too. I've generally had positive stays elsewhere, but this treatment left me shocked, so I wanted to share it for anyone considering the hotel. There was very little within walking distance, and nearby food options were limited. My flight was in the evening, so we checked out in the morning as expected. We asked to use the pool while waiting for the flight and were told we couldn't. When I said I hadn't encountered that rule before and other hotels I've stayed at have allowed it, the receptionist replied sarcastically and said she'd escort us out if we tried to use the pool. It was a terrible experience for my family and me, and this is the first negative review I've ever written.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and the bathroom even had a bathtub. It felt like staying in an ordinary Spanish home. Good enough for a three-star hotel.
