The restaurant was the highlight of my first stay in A Coruña. I tried lots of Galician specialties, from calamari, chipirones and seafood to the house croquettes, vanilla cod, pulpo à la galega, crab and incredible ternera. The homemade cooking was excellent, the wine was perfect, and the service came with a smile. It isn’t cheap, but I’d recommend it for a special last dinner. Expect around 60-70 € for three dishes and a glass of wine. Try la tarta de la abuela if you can, the best in town. Now I come to loïs every time I’m in A Coruña. The room was perfect too, and the location couldn’t be better. Ask for the second or third floor if you want less street noise. Breakfast on the first floor was nice, and the morning was quiet. Enjoy 😉

Alberto at the front desk made everything easy, from sorting out our online reservation and explaining bus routes to getting taxis and handling check-in and check-out. We stayed three weeks in July and had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean and felt safe, and rooms were cleaned and sheets changed daily unless we chose to stay in and relax. The restaurant served excellent fresh seafood, wine and a great port selection. Rodrigo and Manuel were attentive, the service was spot on, and menus came in several languages. The owners greeted us whenever we came in, and even let my wife keep her medication in the kitchen fridge. It’s a small hotel, but there’s an elevator and air conditioning in the rooms.

Alberto and his friendly staff made my stay enjoyable. My Spanish is limited, but they were patient, most spoke English, and they happily shared ideas for places to visit and things to see. I arrived to a clean, ready room, though it was a little small, as you’d expect in a small hotel. The hotel’s on a side street with easy access to other restaurants and bars, and it has its own restaurant where locals dine. The food and service there were excellent. Thanks, Alberto, and thanks to everyone on staff. Stayed July 22-31, 2024.

The food is delicious, with gluten-free and dairy-free dishes, and the staff are really friendly. Dogs are welcome if you want to eat on the terrace. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the tower of Hercules and 10 minutes on foot to a coruña harbour. I’d recommend it 100%.

The reception staff were a huge help, carrying our luggage up while we parked, bringing wine glasses to the room, and sharing restaurant and activity tips. We also got detailed directions and car parking instructions before arriving. The room was a decent size, the bed was comfy, and the small bathroom worked fine. There was some street noise at night, so closing the windows and using the air conditioning is a good idea. It’s a lovely boutique hotel at the start of a pedestrian street, with plenty of places to eat and shop. It’s listed as a 2-star place, but the service felt like 4-5 stars. We had a really comfortable stay.
