Apartamentos Portazgo

An older hotel, but it's in good shape. It works well if you're traveling on your own wheels. Rooms were clean, with WiFi, underground parking, hot water, and radiators. Staff were friendly and spoke English. There aren't many places to eat nearby.

The staff spoke English and helped me find local spots to see during my two days there. They also helped me order dinner at the neighboring restaurant, where the staff didn't know English. The local library is the cutest I've ever seen. My room was clean and nice, with a refrigerator and microwave. I believe many rooms are leased monthly rather than daily. I was in A Coruna for a conference and saved $400 by flying out two days later. I left downtown A Coruna and booked Apartamentos Attica 21 after a Google search. I didn't realize the front desk would be closed Sunday morning, when I had to leave for the airport, and I couldn't pay. I left a note with my phone number and email. Two days later they emailed me a photocopy of the invoice. I called and paid by credit card. They weren't annoyed at all, thanked me, and invited me to stay again if I come back to A Coruna. I would've given it five stars already, but that made it even better.

The staff were lovely and helpful. They even found me a kettle, although it wasn't included in the room, and helped me order a taxi.

Really well maintained, and one of the best hotels with a kitchen!
