The room was clean, but that was about the only saving grace. It was extremely dated and needs a serious refresh, and the mattress was old and worn. There was no kettle or coffee machine, and the so-called complimentary water was an unsealed bottle filled with tap water. Noise came through the walls so clearly that the people above, below, and next door sounded like they were in my room. Breakfast only starts at 07.30, and room service is available only from 20.30 until 23.00. This is basic at best, and I really don’t understand why it’s a four-star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

There are bus lines near the hotel, and getting into the city in 10 minutes was very practical. The breakfast was good, and our clean room had a beautiful sea view. There’s also a decent restaurant, though I’m sure you can find better ones in the city. Set in the dreamy landscapes of the Atlantic coast near Torre de Hercules, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk away. There are lots of chances for romantic walks along the shores and beaches.

We had a very nice stay and would come back. Since the hotel is outside the center, it seems to stay quiet, and we could even hear the ocean from our room. The staff were very nice and let us check in earlier than usual. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like was a strange smell in the hallway and room.

The room was big and had ocean views, with a lovely sunrise over the water. It’s outside the city center, but there’s plenty of free parking.
