Hotel Moon

Two stars feels harsh, since the staff were great and the place was clean and safe. Still, my room had an odd shape and a smell I couldn’t identify, and the bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was below average, with poor quality bread and a pod coffee machine.

We didn’t have a few things, like English-language TV or coffee-making facilities in the room, but the stay was just lovely. We were on the top floor with a great view. The bathroom was SUPER, the Wi-Fi was SUPER, and breakfast was lovely. It was quiet, the staff were very friendly, and the price was very reasonable. The local sights are well placed for walking, and we got everywhere on foot, though there are bus stops nearby.

Everything was clean and renovated, and the place is fine for a night or two. The problem is the very thin walls. You can even hear your neighbours peeing. Bring earplugs, or don’t come.

It’s an affordable place for an overnight stay. Not romantic, but perfectly okay if you just need somewhere to sleep. There’s so much to do in A Coruna that it doesn’t matter if the hotel isn’t a palace, as long as the room is clean, the bed is good and breakfast is good. All of that was true here.
