Hotel NH Collection A Coruña Finisterre

The kids loved the enormous pool, and the nearby Terrazza Bar was a fun place for our family to have a drink, enjoy the view, and play cards. The team at NH Finisterre were lovely and very helpful, and our rooms were clean and nice. We could easily get to all the places we wanted to see, and watching the harbor activity over coffee in the restaurant was a treat. We didn’t have the full breakfast. We’d booked sea-view rooms, but ours mostly looked over the pool and health club. Reading the fine print afterward, I think it said sea views depend on availability. It wasn’t a big deal since we spent little time in the room, but it’s worth knowing.

We stayed for five nights last September during the CAUMAS (Spanish Senior Universities) conference. The room was comfortable and looked out over the port, and breakfast had the same great view. The buffet was superb, and service was friendly, efficient, and always came with a smile. It’s easy to walk to the centre, and the hotel is right by the old town. Excellent in every respect, and highly recommended.

After traveling thousands of miles, my friend and I were told there were no rooms with two beds left and no way to change rooms. We’d booked three months earlier and specifically asked for separate beds. The staff were patient, but that doesn’t make up for the poor preparation and customer service. We’d just had a long, exhausting journey and wanted to sleep in our own beds. I’m disappointed, and I don’t think I’ll choose this hotel chain again.

Everything went smoothly. The rooms are great, the location is amazing, and there’s a great gym and a saltwater pool. Breakfast could be better, though it was still decent. Remember to ask for water each day, and keep in mind your kid will get lots of sugary surprises after 4 pm.
