Hotel Plaza Coruña

The front desk wasn’t staffed all the time, and our room was missed for cleaning one day. We came back late in the afternoon to rest and it hadn’t been made up. The corridor also had cheap carpet tiles.

The staff were so lovely, and the room was just right for our little city break. We had a wonderful stay, exactly what we needed. Thank you!

That shower was unreal, honestly like standing under a waterfall. I’d stay again for it alone. The breakfast was very good, the beds were comfy, everything was clean, and the service was great. There’s a paid parking garage nearby. The room was a bit cramped for three, especially with the extra bed, and our corner room had an odd layout. There wasn’t much counter space by the sink, the hairdryer was one of the worst I’ve used, and the sink pipe leaked a little. Since we were only there one night, I didn’t bother calling reception. None of that was a dealbreaker for a short stay, but the small room and leak would’ve bothered me more if we’d stayed longer.

The spa could use a little maintenance, though it was still a lovely place to unwind. Parking is a three-minute walk away rather than on site, and it’s worth leaving the car there. If you’re taking public transport, there’s a taxi rank right outside. Inside, the rooms, lobby, and dining area were spotless. The beds were really comfortable, the view was amazing, and breakfast was very good. The staff were so kind. My Spanish is terrible, so I mostly spoke Portuguese and English, with just a little Spanish. They were very understanding, spoke English very well, and also knew and understood some Portuguese. I enjoyed the stay and know where I’ll stay next time I visit A Coruña. Thanks for making us feel so welcome, Barbara and Lucas.
