The hotel itself is lovely, especially the main building and gardens. The old convent has been renovated around its former courtyard, now enclosed beneath a glass atrium, with glass replacing the courtyard facing walls. There's also a peaceful Moorish garden among ancient covered terraces, with fountains and water channels. We had a Garden view room. It was decent, though a bit small, and sound carried from above because the insulation wasn't great. The room was fine, but we didn't spend much time there since the hotel has such nice lounges. The restaurant is beautiful, and all the staff we met were lovely and helpful. The food, though, was average and poor value. Prices were VERY high for the area, the menu was limited, and the local dishes were basic with small portions. I've read plenty of glowing food reviews, but I honestly don't see why. At about twice what nearby places charged for similar food, where portions were generous, I would have expected something better. Would I stay again? Yes, for the building and gardens. I'd probably upgrade the room, and I'd definitely eat elsewhere in town, which is stunning in its own right.

Paula's warmth and hospitality were the highlight of our stay. She was enthusiastic, incredibly kind, and solved problems in a way we have never experienced, despite more than 40 years of travelling around the world. The beautiful garden and inviting pool were lovely too, and breakfast came with fresh orange juice and local embutidos. The hotel sits in a pretty spot near the start of a historic village that hasn't become too touristy. Our superior room was clean and nice, with its own terrace and outdoor furniture. We had a wonderful stay at this amazing place, and Paula and the hotel are the two main reasons we'd like to return in September. Hasta luego ❤️🙋♂️🙋♀️

I love this place so much, I could cry. It's the most idyllic spot, and I hope we're lucky enough to come back again and again for a break from the city. The staff are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond. Everything was accessible for me, though I didn't try using my wheelchair. It was all on one level, and I could manage any steps with my level of disability. Where something wasn't accessible, the staff found a way to help. A lovely staff member even brought our buffet breakfast downstairs. Gluten free choices are available. Just mention your needs at check in or beforehand so they can prepare, which they will do. It was great.

The restaurant's own olive oil is extraordinary. I loved the excellent magret de canard, creative starters, and friendly staff. Best restaurant around.
