Hostal El Mirador

The reception lady was friendly and helpful, and our bright, airy room was spotless. We got the double bed we’d requested, which isn’t something every place in Spain offers. Modern, good-quality windows, shutters, and curtains kept out the light and most road noise. The roads on either side looked worrying in the photos, but they weren’t a major issue, with a larger road running parallel farther away. We heard some noise from the corridor and adjoining rooms, though not during sleeping hours. There were also places to sit and relax both inside and outside. There are three parking areas, including covered spaces for around 10 cars, and Hostal El Mirador was easy to reach. Walking to Segovia’s aqueduct took just over 30 minutes, or about 45 minutes to the castle/fortress. You can take a dusty path or follow the paved main road, which has streetlights, although some weren’t working. An afternoon taxi from the aqueduct to the roundabout by the petrol station next to the hostal cost 6€ on the meter. We had a light dinner at the adjoining bar/restaurant. The man serving us was absolutely lovely. The salad and tuna bocadillo were good, fairly priced, and came quickly even though they were very busy. Highly recommend it for a good-value stay in Segovia with parking.

There’s parking on site, plus an adjoining bar/restaurant where you can get a good breakfast. The rooms were very clean, and the bathroom was nice. There’s also a terrace with a lovely view of segovia's church, though unfortunately it was closed that night.

We loved our stay. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were spotless.

A very good value place to stay in Segovia, only a couple of kms from the Aqueduct and not too far from Downtown. A taxi ride cost 7€.
