The in-house restaurant served a very good range of appetizers, starters, main courses and desserts, and the service stayed efficient even with over a hundred guests. Check-in was smooth, and we found this property good value for money during our two-night stay. Our room was spacious and neat, with basic furnishings and a roomy attached bathroom, bathtub and good lighting. The balcony overlooking the bau was large and had a good city view. It’s under five minutes on foot from the bus station and less than a 10-minute walk to Gibraltar passport control, making it a good base for a day trip. The Wi-Fi was slow.

The buffet was plentiful, the food was great, and they considered different dietary requirements. Drinks were reasonably priced too. It’s a popular hotel, with guests from all over the world, especially sports teams who sit at the back of the dining hall. The lifts always worked, the rooms were spacious, and the location was convenient. Driving out to the motorways is quick, and walking into the city center is easy and fast. I’d like to stay again sometime, and would recommend it to anyone, whatever their age.

We stayed two nights to visit Gibraltar, which is literally a 10-minute walk away. Parking in the secure underground car park was a reasonable €12 per day. The bar drinks were really cheap for a nightcap, and breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in any hotel anywhere in Europe. Every staff member we met was pleasant, friendly and professional, a real credit to their employer. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The breakfast had a wide choice and was very good, though there was a bit of chaos when a few tour groups came in at once. After I went to the counter for food, another guest had taken my table. The room was bright, clean and spacious, with a great view of the Rock of Gibraltar. The bathroom exceeded my expectations, especially the powerful jet shower, which helped ease my tiredness. I arrived before check-in hoping to leave my luggage and come back later, but Clara kindly let me check in early since the room was ready. In the evening, the woman working at the first-floor bar was friendly and helpful, and I had a relaxing time there before dinner. The location is superb, and the staff were helpful throughout. I enjoyed my stay despite that small hiccup, and I’ll come back when I visit Gibraltar.
