Llagotel

Having parking and an elevator was handy, especially with luggage or kids. Our room was roomy and spotless, and the attentive staff made sure we were comfortable without making anything feel like a hassle. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Llagotel and would definitely return.

The price was the worst part: €1100 for 8 nights, and I blame booking.com too for pushing it up so much. The hotel felt more like a hostel. The beds did nothing for my back, the shower was tiny and uncomfortable, and the location was too far from the city. You also need a card to get the lights or air conditioning. 👎👎

We found it great value, with good food, beer, and wine, plus a lovely garden outside. We arrived by ferry from Italy and needed somewhere safe and comfortable, and the secure garage for our motorbikes was just what we needed.

The room and bed were both on the small side, and the mattress sits right by the light switches, which are too low on the wall. I accidentally turned the lights on in the middle of the night when I shifted. Still, the place was clean and good value, near the center of La Llagosta. The food in town ranged from good to excellent, though there isn't much nightlife. The train is a 10-minute walk away and takes 20 minutes to reach downtown Barcelona, where things cost about twice as much. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but weren't always easy to find.
