Casa Montelongo

The hospitality really stands out. The staff are attentive without hovering, and always ready with thoughtful suggestions for seeing the real Fuerteventura beyond the beaches. They make you feel at home even when you’re far away. Casa Montelongo is much more than somewhere to sleep. The restored building is beautiful, the pool is amazing, and the design feels calm and bright while still warm and welcoming. Natural light, authentic materials, and careful details give the place a quiet elegance.

We wanted a few easy days in the winter sun and found a beautiful, sleek space in a converted old building. It’s a minimalist’s dream, but also comfortable, spacious, and well equipped, with a lovely courtyard and pool. The service made the break extra special: the concierge was available on WhatsApp and replied instantly, whether we needed a restaurant booked or wanted to change breakfast orders. Nothing was too much trouble. It’s in a small village rather than on the coast. There are a couple of good restaurants a fairly long walk away, but you really need a hire car to make the most of the area. We came back to England feeling refreshed and recharged, exactly what we wanted.

We felt very comfortable at Casa Montelongo. The apartment is stylish, and the shared courtyard pool is beautiful. The team was easy to reach and always happy to offer recommendations or book things for us. Breakfast is served at set times, 10 or 11 a.m., though they arranged a slightly earlier one for us on departure day. The accommodation is on a fairly busy street.

The week we spent here in June was lovely, and we’d happily come back. Casa Montelongo is peaceful and thoughtfully put together, with fresh, delicious breakfasts, comfortable beds, an equipped kitchen and a roomy open living area. It’s a good base for exploring the island, though you really need a car. It also feels a long way from mass tourism.
