Family Apartment 1 bedroom with Pool View 2 - Oasis Duna Resort

The pools are beautiful, the loungers are well looked after, and staff were out picking up rubbish. But the water was freezing. I was told the pools used to be heated, but aren’t anymore, and that alone means we wouldn’t return. We came back on Christmas Day after a week in a privately rented apartment. The complex feels a bit odd, like a former hotel, with lots of areas shut off. Reception is barely there, opening onto a huge courtyard lined with closed common rooms and restaurants. The tiles across the complex are badly broken up, and although some have been replaced with mismatched ones, those replacements get extremely slippery when wet. We were in the block just behind the bar. In the next row, a property had dogs. We never heard them, but they were allowed to roam freely and leave poo wherever they liked, even in the middle of the path.

The villa we rented privately was lovely, but the pool made staying there pointless. The water was only 8-10 degrees Celsius. My kid wanted to swim, but it was so cold we could manage just 10 minutes before he had to lie on the tiles to warm up. After three days we had to move to an H10 hotel, where the pools were guaranteed to be 24 degrees. The courtyard was pretty grubby, dirty, and run down.

Corralejo is lovely, with loads of nice places to eat, and we had a top time. We stayed for a week recently, our second visit, and were really impressed again. The grounds are well kept and the location is superb, with easy access to the main area and a lovely little shopping centre. The pools are amazing and spread out, so everything feels relaxed.

Apartment C304 "Casa Alvates" in holiday resort Oasis Duna was a real treasure. It’s a cosy, comfortable place right in the center of Corralejo. The private terrace looks over the garden and is very close to the 3 Pools and poolbar.
