The food was very good, with plenty of choice at the buffets and for the main course. It was tasty and enjoyable, and we could eat healthily with local options. The restaurant staff took special care because I’m lactose intolerant, and I really felt looked after. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We’ve just had a wonderful week here. The location was superb, right amid everything, yet the hotel itself was very quiet. It was all clean and well maintained. This was our first visit, and it may not be the last. We wished we’d booked more than a week.

We stayed 13 nights on the breakfast-only plan, which let us enjoy the local places for other meals, though dinner at the hotel was available for an extra charge. There are dozens of restaurants, pubs and cafes within walking distance, including a great Italian place right across the street. The beach is two minutes away, with a promenade running both directions along the shore. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of hot and cold choices. For our first days we had room 125, and the Irish pub(s) directly behind the hotel played loud music every day from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm. If you expect to stay in during the evening, you may want to request a room away from the pub music. We asked and were moved to room 128 without any questions, and it was very quiet. The rooms have balconies, and you can sleep with the window open or use the air conditioning. Front desk staff were warm and welcoming. As first timers to the Island, we found the location perfect. Lots of the other guests by the pool have been coming back for years.

The location made everything easy, with shops, the beach, and nightlife close by, yet it stayed quiet when it was time to sleep. Our room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Meals, including breakfast, were a great standard with plenty to choose from. Thanks to the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

The room was very cramped for a four-star hotel. I know there are different room sizes, but ours barely fit its own furniture. There was flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling, dust around the coffee machine and along edges like the light switch and frame, and the cleaning could have been better. On the plus side, breakfast had a great range and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Alessandro at reception. I’d come back, but I’d ask for a larger room.
