Hotel Rural El Cabo

We had a lovely week at El Cabo and would happily come back. The village of Villaverde had a nice feel, there was plenty of parking, and we heard no noise from the excellent restaurant beside our rooms. Since we were walking, the fridge made packing picnics easy. We also made good use of the kettle and the selection of teas, coffee, and water. Iria & Andrea were terrific hosts and made an excellent breakfast every day. Thank you, Andrea & Iria.

Breakfast outside in November was such a treat, and the rooms were clean and comfortable throughout our week. Andrea and Iria were warm and welcoming, and very patient while I tried out my Spanish. We also had an excellent meal at Casa Marcos. Villaverde has several other restaurants and two supermarkets where we bought picnic supplies. It's a pleasant base, with interesting places such as El Cotillo and Ajuy easy to reach.

The service was great, and the breakfast was lovely. There's a fantastic restaurant right next door, too. The hotel is beautiful and especially well placed for walking the GR 131 route.

Andrea & Iria left a note and a box of chocolates in the fridge for us on our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. We were celebrating 45 years of marriage and thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay. The room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was superb, with fresh fruit, yogurt, a bread roll, meats, cheese, and scrambled egg. We'd stay again if we're in the area. Thank you.
