Riccardo and Jessica were attentive and caring, and the owner even showed us the paintings as if we were on a private museum visit. The house is beautiful and luxurious, with just five rooms, and this family business is a lovely tribute to the artist Otazzo. La Orotava is a great base for exploring the whole Island. One of the highlights of our Canary Islands vacation!

We had a calm, pleasant night in a well-kept room with a comfortable bed. The room “La Palma” has breathtaking views, and a pool, sauna and jacuzzi are available upon request. The hotel is a renovated 400 year old villa, full of character and artpieces, with only 6 guest rooms, maybe. The room was spacious, the bathroom huge, and the mosaic tiles were amazing. Jordi gave us a short history of the artist and one of the main paintings, then explained the city map and suggested places and restaurants. He also showed me the smoking area, pool, coffee and tea, and other art pieces. He even let me park outside his own garage a few meters from the hotel if the designated spots were taken by non hotel guests. We managed to communicate despite me not speaking Spanish, with help from one of the guys working there. The location is convenient. The church bells and nearby school could be annoying, though they weren't a problem for me. I'd give the effort and unique stay 6/5.

The breakfast isn't extravagant, but there's plenty to satisfy, and the homemade cake was a real treat. We found the staff and hotel deserving of 5+ stars. Rooms are spacious, with spectacular views for either sunrise or sunset, and the bathrooms are huge and luxurious. The sauna was a highlight for me. It can be prepared on demand for a small extra charge, and holds up to four people. It's close to the small outdoor pool area. There are three designated parking spots in front, so getting there by car was easy, though the narrow city streets do take some driving skill.

Breakfast was included and delicious, and the price felt like good value. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with lovely bathrooms. The owner was extremely helpful and knew a lot about the town and the island. A wonderful hotel with great character and facilities.
