Casa Yolanda

The quiet here was just what I needed to unwind, and the surrounding trails are great for walks and enjoying nature. There are lovely nearby villages to visit, plus a real treat of a bar in the village itself. The country house works well for families or groups of friends, with three bedrooms and room for several people. It’s easy to reach by car, too. Every corner is beautifully and lovingly decorated, and the house is fully equipped, with nothing missing. A perfect few days. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for peace, nature, and a charming stay 💛

El Boixar is a charming village, and Casa Rural Yolanda is comfortable and well placed for a weekend away in the Tinenssa de Benifasar. We found it well equipped for cooking and relaxing, with only a few small things missing. The hostess was always attentive when we needed anything. We’d like to return in autumn or winter and enjoy the two fireplaces! 😝😝😝😝

José, who lives in El Boixar and brought us the keys and towels, was great. He came by every day to check how we were doing and whether we needed anything. The town and its surroundings were exactly what we wanted for four days over Easter. The house is beautifully decorated, and the living room around the fireplace and the kitchen are both cozy. The bedrooms are comfortable, though not especially spacious. The curtains in place of bedroom doors look stylish, but they seem better suited to the coast or summer. We had some cold days, and the lack of doors didn’t help. The wood was damp, too, so we had to keep an eye on the fireplace as it kept going out. The kitchen was cozy, but we could have used more cutlery and dishes. The owner called the day before we arrived to mention “two little leaks”. On the second day, April 20th, it rained nonstop, and water started coming in at about 6 points around the house. There were damp marks on ceilings and walls as well, suggesting the leaks had needed attention for a while. The owner promised us breakfast as compensation, but we never heard about it again. The house is lovely for a few days in summer, or whenever good weather is assured, in the wonderful Tinença de Benifassà surroundings. It does need renovation.

Yolanda was attentive and ready to help with anything we needed. The village is charming, and everyone was welcoming. There are hiking trails right from the house, with fantastic views just outside the door. The house is beautiful and well equipped, and the fireplace, a work of art, heats the whole place. A lovely way to soak up rural life. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
