Aparthotel Solé

Nasi and his wife are lovely hosts who make you feel welcome. It’s a family-run hotel with plenty of local townspeople coming in. The restaurant, rooms, and facilities are great, and there’s secure garage parking for motorbikes. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

This is a very late review, but better late than never. Eight years ago, during a solo 4x4 holiday, we had trouble with our vehicle. We managed to reach this hotel, where they found us a room for two nights straight away. Ignasi, who I believe was the owner’s son at the time, drove us to the local garage and translated so we could get the car repaired. The hotel was lovely and exactly what we needed then, and his friend at the garage, Jordi Segu, got our car ready really quickly. Ignasi saved our holiday.

The service was terrible, and the staff were rude. After I asked to speak with an owner, the young receptionist claimed she was the hotel owner. She said she wanted to call the police because we planned to leave the hotel a bad review after she had spoken to us badly. We managed to cancel the reservation, which she accepted gladly. Very good business management.

The hotel has a swimming pool and a nice breakfast, and the service was good. It’s very close to the river and lake, and a great place to stay between Espot and Barcelona.
