Hotel Llansola

The room was very basic and small, and I must have ended up with the worst-looking one in its price category. Its window faced a sort of enclosed space between four walls. On the plus side, the place was very clean, parking was private, and breakfast was good.

The staff were attentive and made up for a lot, including arranging a quick repair after I reported the air conditioning. But the rooms badly need modernising: the infrastructure is dated, the walls are cracked, and the unit was near the end of its life. The fan kept making loud noises in the middle of the night, so we had to turn it off. Rooms are cleaned daily, and the staff were always helpful with requests. Breakfast in the Restaurant was okay each morning. I would have liked an egg, but my fussy daughter always found something to eat. Parking was fine, though there are only about 7-8 spaces, if I remember correctly, so arriving late may mean you can’t find a spot. The hotel is quite central, with restaurants and the local beach within a walk of no more than 10 minutes.

Breakfast was good, though it doesn’t start until rather late, at 8:30 a.m. The rooms are comfortable and have air conditioning, but there’s no fridge or safe. The hotel is central, although it’s not close to the sea or marina.

You can hear guests next door talking because there’s no sound insulation at all. Still, the rooms are super clean, and it’s a great place to rest while enjoying the little city.
