We could see the plaça from our room, which was lovely when the Easter procession went by. The room was mostly clean, though there was some dust. Sound carries badly through the very thin walls: a neighbour’s snoring lulled us to sleep, then other guests leaving woke us up. The staff were welcoming and great. We arrived early, and they kindly held our bags until the room was ready.

The room was fine and clean, and the people were friendly. If you’re not visiting in summer, you’ll probably be okay. Our air conditioning, though, was controlled by lobby staff, which was really annoying on an extremely hot night. We went downstairs twice to check it was working. It finally kicked in around 1 a.m. and kept running until we were freezing in the morning.

Rustic, clean, quiet, and close to the beach. The staff deserve six stars out of five: we left something behind, and they kindly found it and sent it to us in Madrid.

A good place if you want to save money. It’s a low-cost hotel, but very clean and tidy, with an excellent, generous breakfast. The staff are very kind.
