Camping Playa Taray

The pitches are spacious and well laid out on slopes, so rain drains away. Even in winter, it’s quiet but still busy in January and February 2026. The beach is under 100 metres away, great for walking the dog, and there’s a nice shop and coffee shop on site. The staff are super friendly and go the extra mile to help. I’m really enjoying my holiday and have already booked a few weeks in March before my season starts.

The pool is little more than a pool of water, and we were staying close enough to hear a lot of noise from it. The campsite is in a good location, and the bungalows are clean and in good condition. But the place feels too crowded, with the bungalows packed close together. They’re expensive too, without much shade or a more secluded spot.

We stayed on a shaded pitch for a few relaxing days and loved it. There are also cozy bungalows and glamping tents. The only downside was hearing cars from the road. Right across it, though, there’s a wide sandy beach where pets are welcome, and a nearby chiringuito serves delicious local food. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It felt like a peaceful little break from everyday life, and would suit a solo stay, a couple, friends or a family. We'll be back!

The beach across the road is beautiful, with lovely sand, and there’s a nice unheated pool. It’s a pleasant campsite, though a bit remote. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, but I didn’t use them so can’t comment. The facilities are modern and clean, but the hot water was barely tepid.
