El Balcon de Onis

Breakfast and dinner on the porch were especially nice, thanks to the good weather and those spectacular views. The house itself was quiet, very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Tamara was so kind and called to let us know when we arrived. She also left us cider, some of the best we’ve ever tried, and it really seemed homemade rather than mass-produced. We spent the weekend here as a family, and it was a 10 out of 10 from start to finish.

The barbecue outside made for a delicious cookout. Inside, the clean apartment had everything we needed, including a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and clothesline. It’s a quiet place in a good location. We made the right choice coming here, and we’ll be back.

The kids had plenty to do, with the inflatable mattress, ping-pong table, and soccer area all available. The house also had the practical things covered, including a washing machine and a barbecue with everything needed to get it going. Tamara was easy to reach whenever we had a question or needed help. It’s a beautiful, peaceful base close to Cangas, Arriondas, Covadonga, El Cares, and other places. We were two families staying at the end of August, and would highly recommend it. We even met guests who’d been returning for years, which says a lot.

Tamara is a gem, and there’s a lot to like here: the apartment is spacious, very clean, and has everything you need, with parking right outside and a porch overlooking lovely views. It’s quiet and well placed for exploring this part of Asturias. I’m holding back the fifth star because it feels a bit damp and smells of mildew as soon as you walk in. The TV is very small and the Wi-Fi isn’t great either. Those aren’t major problems, though. Everything else was perfect, and I’d still recommend it.
