I didn’t try the food, but the service was terrible. They don’t take cards, which I can understand, although it feels like the tax authorities don’t want everything handled that way. The bigger problem was how late they mentioned the 50% deposit. We’d planned events well in advance, been told everything was fine, and had everything booked with people signed up. Then, just four days before, they sprung the payment requirement on us, including with people coming from out of town. I understand supplies need to be bought, but that should be made clear when the agreement is reached, not after all the arrangements are finished. It left people high and dry. Sure, Bizum is fine, but if he takes cash, everyone else has to withdraw the money and declare it to the tax authorities while he doesn’t. Then they’ll complain that people are unreasonable or don’t show up. People need clear information upfront, especially when the rest of us are trying to help in advance.
