Casa Catharina

We only stayed one night in Seo de Urgel at Casa Catarina, but the room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and enough space to feel homey. The hostess was friendly and explained how parking works in the old town and how to find the place. We left our car a few hundred metres away without worrying, then enjoyed our evening at one of the bars Catarina recommended. There was equipment for making hot drinks, a container for used cutlery and glasses, and guides and maps of the area. Catarina offered more suggestions and help, as well as breakfast, but we wanted to leave very early, so we declined and left the key on the table. I also forgot my braces, and Catarina kindly took it upon herself to send them to me. That was the kindest and most unexpected highlight of our two weeks in Spain and Portugal. Thanks again, Catarina, and I hope many more guests get a good night’s sleep there.
