Hotel Portmán

Carmen at reception, and everywhere else, is the friendliest person we’ve ever met. The staff were lovely and attentive, and both the hotel and rooms were fresh and very clean. We only stayed one night, but we’re looking forward to coming back on our next visit to Portman.

We booked for two adults and one teenager through booking.com, but on arrival they asked for an extra 30 euro/night for my son. I said I’d already paid through the site, and they told me there’d been confusion on the website. The place and its location weren’t worth paying more, so we canceled and booked a 4 star hotel for only £90 eura extra. I saved 90 euro. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The worst place ever.

It felt like the middle of nowhere, but it was absolutely amazing: calm, safe, clean, and with extremely friendly staff. The breakfast alone was worth the cost of the stay. We were traveling and spent one night here, and couldn’t have been happier with our choice.

We only stopped in for coffee and cake, not an overnight stay. The place was immaculately clean, even the loos, and the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help. There’s lots of seating indoors and outside, including a comfy sofa. The coffee was excellent, and the homemade carrot cake was huge and delicious. Great value, especially for a hotel.
