There's a surprising amount of traffic noise that carries up from the road. One thing I wish the website had made clearer is that this place is geared toward small kids and people who love them, with games, tractor rides, and other toddler focused activities. It's not really a place for adults. Even so, I had a nice time on a writing retreat. The countryside views are beautiful, with easy access to nearby places. Rooms are modest and have a comfortable antique feel, the shared spaces are lovely, the food is modest but nice, and the staff are super friendly.

We stayed as a couple for a weekend break, coming from Napa Valley in California, and this has become one of my favorite places. It feels like a beautiful little secret, still unspoiled, with medieval towns nearby to explore. The new team made us feel at home, always friendly, helpful, and great to chat with. We ate at the casa both nights. The fresh, local meals suited the mountain setting perfectly, especially the meat and soups from nearby towns on those cold evenings. I highly recommend it.

Rosa, the patron, was so sociable and welcoming that it felt like staying with our aunt. The dining terrace has a magical view, and the old masia still has all its original spirit while feeling very homely. It was just the right place for a weekend away after confinement. We'll definitely be back soon.
