Apartaments Noray

The room was spotless, and the bar food was decent for the price. We had a combined plate and patatas bravas, neither of which was bad. The value for money was fine, but the room we got was a sort of attic with a tiny window, so the promised view was barely there. You had to duck whenever you went over to one of the beds. The walls are paper thin. We heard a neighbor snoring all night as if he were in our room, and someone else moving around so much that their headboard kept knocking against our wall. Honestly, it made for a pretty awful night.

Even though the dining room was empty, they wouldn’t let us eat inside when rain was on the way. They don’t accept dogs, and the owner made that very clear in a conversation. We were hurried along as well. The combined plate on the terrace felt like they were doing us a favor, and it was small and far too salty. In Vilaller, by contrast, a closed place opened especially for us and kindly served us some products. I don’t recommend this place and won’t return.

The town is very pretty, but I wouldn’t stay here again. We came for several days over New Year’s, and the low price was the only real positive. The kitchen was short on utensils, the sofa was too small for a six person apartment, and the shower curtain had mold on it. The folding dining table collapsed under even a little weight when we tried to seat six, among other things I can’t remember now. The owner was rude. The girl in our group who booked gave the place a 7 on Booking.com, and within five minutes the owner was calling to complain and berate her. Then, at 2 a.m. on our arrival night, she came to our door from the first floor, where she lived, while we were on the third, saying neighbors had complained about noise and she’d call the police. We felt embarrassed and went the next day to apologize to the neighbors next door and below us. They said they hadn’t heard us that night and told us not to worry.

We had a very good weekend with friends and felt comfortable throughout. The service was excellent.
