La Portilla de Cabezo

The owners were so friendly, and warmly explained which routes and places to visit. They were always ready to help with anything. I had a wonderful few days and will come back whenever I can. The country houses are thoughtfully designed, with lovely gardens that look beautiful both during the day and at night. Their lighting gives the place an idyllic feel, and the area is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with natural pools, picturesque villages, and trails.

Those three days gave us memories we'll treasure. We spent ages talking after dinner by the fireplace with hot chocolate, and exploring the natural surroundings of Las Hurdes was wonderful. The little house was warm and cozy, and had everything we needed. Trini, thank you so much. M. Paz, Rosi, Raúl, and I send our warmest regards. Don't change!

Pedro and Trini were lovely and gave us two maps with routes and useful tips. The scenery is idyllic, and everything, indoors and out, is decorated with care. The rate was €50 per night for a two-night stay, which felt like excellent value. One thing to keep in mind: if more than one person is staying, take quick showers, as the hot water doesn't last long.

A great place to unwind after long hikes in the lush surroundings. I love relaxing in the mountains and admiring them from the terrace. The houses are charming, nicely decorated, and high quality, and they stay cool and refreshing in summer. Magnificent, I'll definitely return.
